Terrafirma Ceramics was founded in 1980 by artist Ellen Evans in New York City. Her original path toward archaeology - with an emphasis on Ancient Greek pottery -sparked her passion for the ceramic arts. As she developed her ceramic skills, her focus turned toward making rather than studying. Her goal is to create functional but beautiful pieces that can be collected and used every day.
