When David Reiss - a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design - founded MATCH in 1995, he introduced America to the beauty of Italian pewter. MATCH’s pewter, a valuable metal composed of tin, copper, and antimony, is handmade by artisans in Northern Italy. Every piece of Match pewter is marked with the manufacturer's "M" hallmark as well the mark of tin content "95".  The Match Pewter low candlestick measures 4.7 inches tall. This solid pewter candlestick holder is short and features Italian pewter hallmarks that are viewable. This classically designed short candle holder has a wide rim to catch any wax that drips down the side of the candle.
